Libraries play an important role in legal education. Memorandum of Ordinance (LEBMO) No. 16 of 15 March 2018 establishes guidelines, standards and guidelines for university law libraries in law schools. The Philippine Group of Law Librarians Inc. (PGLL) is a national organization of government and private sector legal librarians organized in August 1980 at the 46th General Congress of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
Now in its 35th year, PGLL aims to develop the skills of legal librarians in legal research, management, information technology and other areas through conferences, forums and seminars to improve library services. The PGLL is sensitive to the latest developments in the field of law libraries and has taken steps to reflect these developments. ASEAN integration is the latest development in ASEAN countries, and PGLL is preparing for it. In 2014, he began his study trip to renowned law libraries in Asia, starting with Malaysia. One measure to improve the quality of legal education is Memorandum Order (LEBMO) No. 7, approved on December 29, 2016, entitled Guidelines and Regulations for the Administration of a Nationwide Unified Law School Admission Test for Candidates to Law School`s Foundation Courses at All Law School Law Schools in the State. (LEBMO) No. 7, 9 provide that no candidate will be admitted to enrol as a first-year student in fundamental rights courses leading to a Bachelor of Laws or a Juris Doctor if he/she has not passed the completed PhilSAT within 2 years prior to the start of study for the Fundamental Rights Course and does not provide a valid WCC as proof of this.
