Theodore F. McLane (Ted) – Founding Partner (1927 – 2016) Ted was born in Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida, where he received his BS in Business Administration and his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1958. He served as a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force before beginning his legal career. He spent the first part of his career as a Trust Officer and founded his own firm in 1969. He was recently honored by the Florida Bar Association for being a member with a good reputation for 50 years. His love for his career inspired his children to join him, and the firm he founded 40 years ago has become the law firm of McLane, McLane & McLane. Ted has always had a keen interest in history and is the former president of the Largo Historical Society and serves on the Largo Historical Preservation Board. In addition to his legal career, he wrote his first book, a historical fiction novel entitled Delay in Route.
